It is an Android app that will automate numerous tasks on your phone such as making calls, launch apps for you, turn on and off Wi-Fi automatically, sending alerts and notifications and much more.
How to Use MacroDroid?
When you first get the app, it must seem difficult to use. However, the whole idea of MacroDroid is to make tasks easy for you and therefore the app itself is easy to navigate. At its base, the app works on three concepts: triggers, actions and constraints. Let’s check how to use the app using these concepts in detail.
MacroDroid Triggers:
Triggers are the preconditions for anything to happen which means for anything to happen something must happen first. A simple example of MacroDroid trigger is turning on a battery saver when the battery level drops significantly. This app automates more complex tasks using triggers and not just turning on the battery saver.
MacroDroid Actions:
Actions are what need to be done without any condition or trigger. You can automate a call, turning on flashlight, taking a photo and sending a message.
MacroDroid Constraints:
For a constraint action to take place there must be a condition fulfilled. In simple words “unless A does not happen, B will also not happen”. Examples include, turning on flashlight only in certain hours, connecting to a Wi-Fi at certain times of the day and turning off location when you are only at home. In a nutshell constraints work on “only if”.
